Home Events Happy New Year from T3! What will 2012 bring to gaming?

While people from the future those east of the United States have already rung in the new year, Americans are just now catching up. King Dick Clark and Duke Ryan Seacrest have announced the arrival of 2012.

My feelings about 2011 are largely ambivalent. While my personal life has gone exceedingly well and (as I’m sure most gamers will agree) it’s been a great run for the gaming world, the real world has seen nothing but turmoil. Natural disasters, widescale violence, and sociopolitical strife have largely been the headlines.

As I’m sure none will be remiss to repeatedly point out in 2012, this year marks the end of some kind of Mayan era. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing depends on your personal superstitions and how you see the “stars” aligning for people everywhere on this planet. I don’t actually think Earth is going to explode into a trillion pieces and send our corpses hurtling randomly through space… but that doesn’t mean I won’t be trying to catch up on my very long unplayed games list in Steam.

Whatever your outlook is for this year, I’d like to personally thank all our readers for sticking around the last 365 days. And if ever there was a time when my signature closing was merited, it’s now.

Cheers,
WiNGSPANTT

  1. I don’t know about you guys, but I have to prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse! Time to play some L4D2! Oh yeah, and saving up some food. I guess that can wait.
