The least sensationalized Xbox One DRM breakdown on the internet

With only a few days left before E3, it appears the gaming community the vocal hardcore gaming crowd is officially losing its collective mind over the Xbox One.

I won’t argue that Microsoft’s most recently released details about the Xbox One’s DRM aren’t a tad off-putting. They’re basically giving publishers the tools they need to ruin the secondhand gaming economy.

On the other side of the coin, Microsoft itself isn’t imposing too many inherent restrictions, so in theory this could all play out just fine.*

While I could spend 45 minutes to an hour belaboring every detail, the gentlemen at Giant Bomb have done such a good job breaking it all down. I thus defer to their analysis, their humor, and their insight:
