Home News Heads up: T3 is getting some upgrades!

About two years ago, Top Tier Tactics saw its first major design change, upgrading from “the default theme” to “something that was actually programmed by a person.” Since then, we’ve seen a big increase in all the stats that indicate readers don’t hate the site… but there’s always room for improvement.

To that end, we’ll be unrolling the new T3 theme and layout over the weekend, and I thought you, our loyal readers, should brace for impact. Here’s a little bit about what you can expect:

  • A responsive design that doesn’t suck on phones and tablets
  • Faster overall site speed and page loads
  • 27% less NSA backdoor intrusions on personal data
  • Game hub areas for players that only care about certain games
  • Better, easier to use site search functionality
  • Free hats*

To help facilitate the changes, I’m going to be aligning content as closely to the existing layout as possible… to start. That way, nobody gets instaantly lost. But once things are up and running, we will be making our larger improvements.

There will be glitches. There will be dead links. There will be mild confusion. But in the end, it’s all for the better.

Any feedback during and after this changeover is more than welcome. After all, if you’re not happy, we’re not happy!**

* Only if you’re good.
** I can’t speak for Binerexis here.

  1. Nooooo WiNG :'( the previous theme was actually very nice and appealing and where have the tabs at the top gone? It was nice to just click Magic 2014 and get all that up instead of having to search for it (guess I’ll find my way around soon enough). On the plus side the recent comments etc is a very nice addition, i like it =).

    I was actually going to suggest something the other day. Any chance of a kind of like chat room that people can use to speak to each other about tactics/builds/game-play etc on the website instead of a pile of comments. Have a few nominated people as moderators to keep the chat monitored similar to RuneScape or something like that, I used to be a moderator on RuneScape able to mute people for 48hrs lol :D good times. Have a few lobbies on different games to group it, however you would go about it, it would be a great addition if possible.

  2. I like the new look, only discovered the site recently. If you can implement a genre category, or list of games, that would he icing on the cake. I’m still checking on the magic promo codes from time to time and only discovered the Street Fighter articles last week.

    I have catching up to do;)

    • I’m sure WiNG’s going to be rolling out more changes over the coming weeks. Genre and game specific tabs and menus are coming, as is further change to the layout.
