Golden Charity Fundraiser ends at $30,179.41!
To everyone who has donated to this cause, thank you so much for your contributions.
Thanks to you, we have raised over $30,000 for Child’s Play Charity!
This is an astonishing feat of philanthropy, and as members of The Best Group On Steam (trademark pending),
you deserve a pat on the back. You are all credit to team!
Whether you gave 5 cents or 500 dollars, each and every one of you was able to give something from your heart and make a difference to children who need hope and fun the most. You should be exceptionally proud of yourselves and of one another.
In one week’s time, I will hold up my end of the bargain and destroy my Golden Wrench, along with 12 of my wrench-owning peers. I know I speak for all of us when I say we are humbled by the previously unimaginable response this event has gotten. While many of us had at one time considered ourselves cursed to receive these Australium devices, we are now blessed to be in the position and join you in supporting Child’s Play Charity.
Please remember that although this fundraiser is done, you can always provide further support by spreading the word about Child’s Play to your fellow gamers. And, if it ever so happens that I get a 1 in 1 million virtual item again, perhaps I’ll announce a follow-up fundraiser here on T3.
Thanks again for your support, your selflessness, and for taking the time to give back to the community and help me to make the best of the Golden Wrench. I’m sure Valve and everyone in the TF2 community can appreciate that.
