Home Strategy Tactical Thursday: Getting the upper hand on the Battlefield

It’s been a while since our last installment of Tactical Tuesday/Thursday, hasn’t it?

With that in mind, I’ve decided to sneak into our beloved dictator WiNGSPANTT‘s secret office to see what he’s been sitting on. During my terrible, terrible journey, I managed to recover several ultimate strategic videos that he had hoarded, hidden away for himself under lock and key.

What follows is the net of what I found, give or take a few Justin Bieber CDs.

Equip the F2000 (no relation) for fun and profit

One of our readers sent in a video by DPCasting on the F2000 Bullpup Assault Rifle. Although I knew nothing about this gun until I watched this video,* it is already my favourite weapon of the name game for, shall we say, obviously aesthetic reasons.

Consider your preconceived notions busted

Meanwhile, check out the Mythbuster series on Battlefield 3 which tackles questions from “Can I go prone and survive a jeep/tank rolling over me?” to “Can I board a vehicle in mid-air?” It doesn’t matter if the answer is yes or no, the results are uniformly hilarious.

Deep behind enemy blog lines

And finally, despite our shared hatred of Kotaku, they do manage to find a few gems here and there with articles like “The Craziest Battlefield 3 Strategies We’ve Seen So Far.” These aren’t necessarily the most effective ways to score a win for your team, but we’ll leave serious strategic discussions to Xiant. Right, Xiant?

That’s all for the day folks, remember to keep sending in those strategy/tactical pieces so we can share them here for everyone! (And don’t worry, I managed to cut a key for WiNG’s secret office without his knowledge. With any luck, we’ll be able to pump out more frequent editions of Tactical Tuesday/Thursday from now on!)

*By the way, who else enjoyed the fall of the US flag as it was being replaced by the Russian one about 1:20 into the video?

  1. Ah the F2000, this weapon is actually the only weapon in BF:BC2 that i have a platinum star. (I haven’t got to BF3 yet, traveling.) When i first started using the F2k i didn’t like it, but when i tried it a few times more…i started to love the ROF (rate of fire) and its also quite accurate.

  2. Wow, superb weblog structure! How long have you been blogging for? you made blogging glance easy. The full look of your web site is magnificent, as neatly as the content!
