Nintendo 3DS Update: The Nintendo eShop

Jun 13, 2011 7 Comments by

Phew, it has been awhile, hasn’t it? I’ve been busy trying to graduate and whatnot, by being diligent and taking summer classes while juggling a job at the same time. These are also reasons why I couldn’t go to LA for E3 like others from T3. However, that’s not to say I haven’t been diligently preparing for my next articles while throwing knives at a dartboard with pictures of the people who did get to go to E3! There has been quite the activity in the digital realm of gaming, enough to talk about in not 1, but 2 articles! Exciting, I know. I’ll start off with the event that technically happened first, although the divide wasn’t really that large between the 2 events. But, I’m anal about this sort of thing, so deal with it. Let’s talk about the shiny new 3DS eShop and Virtual Console.

Spelunk to the Max in Spelunky!

Top Tier Stream: Starting THIS Sunday!

Apr 25, 2011 2 Comments by

Well, the test for the Top Tier Stream was conducted for a very short 50 minutes last Saturday for a small 3 viewers. I know there was short notice, but if you weren’t there to make it, fear not! The full Top Tier Stream begins this Sunday at 7:30pm EST, and will run weekly! This Sunday I will be streaming the Ancient Cave from Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals, which I mentioned in my brief look at Roguelikes way back when. However, the game shouldn’t be the only reason you tune in! I will by joined in commentating by the one and only WiNG himself, and we’ll be talking with the live chat throughout the event!

Come watch our test of the Top Tier Stream!

Apr 23, 2011 9 Comments by

Do you enjoy watching other people playing videogames? Perhaps while commentating on what’s going on and interacting with a live chat? And by interacting with the live chat I mean making fun of the live chat.

If you’re interested in any of these things, then check out our test stream tonight at 9:00pm EST! I’ll be there (hopefully) broadcasting live from my computer screen, attempting to play an NES game or something to test how viable streaming from my crappy laptop is!

3DS launch follow up – what Nintendo needs to Fix

Apr 02, 2011 18 Comments by

I’ve had the 3DS for about five days now. Why even bother writing this article? Simple: there are a few aspects that you can’t be fairly judged until some time has passed! So, let’s revisit the lands of the new, not-so-explored land of the console release, about a week after.
