CP Dustbowl

For whatever reason, Dustbowl remains a popular map in most TF2 pub servers. Is it the sand? Is it the nostalgia for a simpler time, when men were men, but they were also bloodthirsty mercenaries? Or is it just that gamers love playing Valve maps with the word dust in their name? The world may never know.

Dustbowl is interesting for Spies, as each stage consists of two capture points, one closer to BLU and one closer to RED. On offense, it’s fairly easy to get behind RED before the second point is captured. After that? Not so much. Inversely, Spying on defense usually means holding off until after BLU has already captured the first point of the stage. Of course, there are exceptions to either case.

Will you be making videos for the other stages of Dustbowl?

It’s refreshing to not just see the best parts someone has, but the reality of a spy- you die a lot even if you’re good.

Hi. Can I ask what software you use to record the footages and where you got it from? Camstudio is awful and I lost many hilarious and good moments… Best one was when an enemy spy decloaked, facing me, in front of a friendly heavy on 2fort.

Great tips, majority of which I’m going to use. :)
What spy clock & magnum were you using (defaults or polycount pistol+Cloak&Dagger)?
Also, could you do a guide for Spying on ctf_turbine or ctf_2fort please?

i am just letting you know that 2 fort is probably the worst map ever for spy. too close quarters and only t entrances to base, underground and bridge.
